As of May 13th, MBCAOC is proud to offer the Saturday Morning Breakfast Gathering at Katella Grill. This will be a fun, social/auto event held every second Saturday of every month; so if you miss this one, there's more to come.
What do we do here? A little visiting, a little car talk, a little eating and more. Just bring yourself, bring a spouse, bring a friend, bring your kids, or bring your neighbor; and definiteley bring your Mercedes-Benz. Talk about your passion for Mercedes-Benz, talk shop, talk about your recent road trip, talk about whatever! Club announcements can be made here as well. Just a fun, free-form gathering for members to meet other members, network and eat a delicious breakfast.

BOARD MEETING REMINDER: November 2nd
LOCATION ADJUSTMENT
The meeting of the Board will commence at the Schramm's home this Thursday. This meeting was previously scheduled to take place at the Classic Center, but a scheduling conflict changed the location of this venue.Show up around 6:30 or so for treats. Meeting usually begins around 7:30PM. It is a potluck, but rumor has it Wanda will be preparing her signature chicken dish.

PLACE: Doheny Beach State Park Area 2 (click for map)
The charcoal grill and ice chest wranglers will be on hand for the best burgers and hotdogs. Other dedicated souls will be slicing up big ripe tomatoes and sweet onions. Still others will be tossing salads, setting up the condiment table, and a chosen few will be trying to enhance
canned baked beans to be heated up on the grill. We will all be glad this party is held where
the ocean breezes blow. Wear your sun hat. There is some tree shade but there’s a lot of open space, too. There is a parking charge we can not control.

I am the proud owner of a mint condition 1972 280 SEL Mercedes Benz (2 more photos, below) with only 115,000 miles on it. I bought it in 1992 from my grandparents, who were the original owners. I have been trying to "keep it in the family" but the car is a classic show car and it is not practical for me to keep it here in San Diego.
I have already received an offer from a local showroom of exotic cars, and my friends have urged me to sell it on eBay or Autotrader. But if possible, I would like to place the car with "someone who cares about" and not just any random buyer. Do you think that anyone in the MBCAOC would be interested in purchasing it? If so, I can send a lot more photos and information on the car.

It’s a car rally and poker run on old historic Highway 80 in San Diego and Imperial Counties.
Join other Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts for history and information along old Highway 80. We’ll start in east San Diego County and drive as much of historic U.S. 80 as possible with interesting stops along the way to pick up your poker cards.
We’ll stay over night at the Barbara Worth Resort, in Holtville, where we will have an awards dinner. All rooms have a mini refrigerators, microwaves, and coffee makers. They come with either one king or two queen beds, and most face the beautiful 18 hole PGA championship golf course. There’s also a lovely swimming pool to enjoy.
Finally, we’ll enjoy a scrumptious breakfast on Sunday. After that, we’ll be on our way home. You can stay an extra day to play a round of golf, or just relax. It is anticipated that the cost of this event will be about $60 per person, plus the cost of the room—only $78 plus tax for a double, bringing the total per couple or the rally, dinner, overnight stay, and breakfast to approximately $200.
